A FICIOUS GUIDE
Choosing aquarium sensors: compare specifications first
Choose hardware from published information, your aquarium's needs and how you will use its data. An IoT label does not imply every measurement or universal compatibility.
Start with the measurement you need
Identify what you want to observe, then compare each device's official specifications. Only capabilities explicitly described for that product should be treated as supported. Do not infer accuracy, intervals or water resistance from artwork.
Check power and connectivity
Read each product's power, network, hub and application requirements. Contact Ficious before choosing if details are missing. Devices in the same category do not automatically share compatibility.
Understand readings after pairing
When a compatible device connects in Care, read its data with the source and timestamp. A disconnected device's last value is not necessarily current. Distinguish measurements from manual records and simulation.
Getting started
- Open the published device catalog.
- Check product availability.
- Compare specifications, power and connectivity.
- Ask Ficious about missing details.
- Use the compatible device's pairing flow when ready.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy a coming-soon device immediately?
Coming soon does not establish purchase availability. Check the currently published product information and links.
Does every sensor measure temperature and pH?
No. Base the decision on capabilities explicitly published for each product.
